Community Awareness Ambassadors Initiative for Arab Countries


the National University of Science and Technology and Al-Azhar University, celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the Ambassadors of Social Awareness Initiative for Arab Countries today. The initiative was conducted online via Google Meet over 18 training hours from August 1-17, 2024, with two hours of training each day.

Main Pillars of the Initiative:

  1. Personal Awareness:
    Delivered by Dr. Saad Shams El-Din, faculty member at Al-Azhar University, this session focused on self-awareness, building social and healthy relationships, managing psychological stress, and developing critical thinking skills. It also highlighted setting realistic long-term goals and adapting to life’s changes and challenges.

  2. Social Awareness:
    Presented by Dr. Sherine Atef, Dean of the Graduate Studies College at Bashen University, this session emphasized the importance of understanding and empathizing with others. It also discussed the role of leadership in enhancing social interaction and the significance of recognizing cultural and social contexts in shaping behavior.

  3. Educational and Cultural Awareness:
    Led by Dr. Manal Serga Shenouda, Deputy of Social Solidarity and International Trainer in Egypt, this session addressed the critical role of education in societal development and how cultural awareness can strengthen national identity. It discussed the impact of cultural awareness on skills development and fostering intercultural understanding.

  4. Environmental and Agricultural Awareness:
    Delivered by Dr. Khaled Ghanem, Head of the Department of Environment and Sustainable Agriculture at Al-Azhar University, the session focused on the importance of environmental protection, sustainable farming, and the effects of climate change on agriculture. It also introduced community sustainability initiatives and tools for sustainable development.

  5. Legal Awareness:
    Presented by Dr. Tarek Massoud, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Bashen University, this session covered the importance of understanding human rights, citizenship, the constitution, and legal protections. It discussed the role of digital law and sources of legal authority.

  6. Economic Awareness:
    Delivered by Dr. Magdy Hasnine, Director of Public Relations at the Egyptian Council of Scholars, this session focused on financial resource management, financial planning, and economic development. It also discussed global and Arab economies and solutions to inflation issues.

  7. Intellectual Awareness:
    Led by Dr. Hager Salem, Professor and Head of the Department of Fiqh at Al-Azhar University, this session focused on critical thinking, analyzing information, and combating fake news and rumors. It also encouraged creative and innovative thinking.

  8. Health Awareness:
    Presented by Ms. Makarim Jassim Rasul, certified Human Development Coach, and Dr. Mahmoud Hassanien, Consultant in Therapeutic Nutrition, the session emphasized preventive healthcare, balanced nutrition, and chronic disease management. It also covered the importance of health education and community health initiatives.

  9. Technological Awareness:
    Delivered by Dr. Mazen Riyad Mansour Al-Hameed, a professor at the National University of Science and Technology, this session explored the impact of technology on daily life, digital security, personal data protection, and technological innovations shaping the future.

Conclusion:

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants, highlighting the importance of the Ambassadors of Social Awareness Initiative in shaping a generation of leaders and citizens capable of addressing contemporary challenges and building a united and prosperous Arab society.
