Analyzing Violent Extremism and Enhancing Student Awareness: Building a University Community Resilient to Terrorism

Recognizing the dynamic environment in universities as fertile ground for the emergence and development of ideas, establishing a culture of countering terrorism and raising awareness of its causes and consequences within university halls is essential. This approach promotes values of tolerance and mutual respect among students, aiming to create a university community based on dialogue and mutual understanding.

Decision:

A workshop titled "Analyzing Violent Extremism and Enhancing Student Awareness: Building a University Community Resilient to Terrorism" will be held in collaboration with Future Meta Academy on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 9:00 PM via Google Meet.

Speakers:

  • Ms. Rayan Fakhr Al-Din, a legal expert from Lebanon, will address the topic of analyzing social, economic, and political factors influencing the spread of violent extremism.
  • Dr. Mazen Riyad Mansour Al-Hamid, a faculty member at our university, will cover instilling values of tolerance, coexistence, and mutual respect among students as the foundation for building a university community resilient to terrorism.

This workshop aims to empower students with a deep understanding of the factors that contribute to violent extremism and reinforce the importance of tolerance and unity in creating a safe and supportive university environment.
