Breast Cancer Forum: Early Detection of Breast Cancer

In October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Department of Scientific Affairs and the Psychological Guidance and Educational Counseling Division at the National University of Science and Technology are organizing a workshop titled "Breast Cancer Forum: Early Detection of Breast Cancer - A Crucial Step to Save Lives" on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at our university.

The forum will feature three lectures presented by:

  1. Prof. Dr. Sahar Ahmed Shafiq, Faculty of Nursing at our university.
  2. Assist. Prof. Dr. Nermin Mohamed Al-Hosari, Faculty of Dentistry at our university.
  3. Dr. Adel Ouda Al-Omari, Specialist in Internal Medicine and Oncology, Thi-Qar.

Main objectives of the workshop:

  1. Raise awareness about the symptoms of breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
  2. Highlight the available techniques and methods for early breast cancer detection.
  3. Promote health culture and prevention of breast cancer in society.
  4. Provide an opportunity for dialogue and discussion on breast cancer-related topics between the attendees and the speakers.
