The National University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Al-Mustansiriyah University/College of Science/Department of Atmospheric Sciences, organized an online scientific workshop titled "Dust Storms: Their Causes, Impacts, and Modern Methods of Treatment". The workshop was held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 8:30 PM.

The workshop was presented by the following experts:

1. Dr. Aqeel Ghazi Matar, Lecturer in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, College of Science, Al-Mustansiriyah University.
2. Dr. Sama Khaled Al-Dabbagh, Lecturer in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, College of Science, Al-Mustansiriyah University.
3. Prof. Ban Mun'im Tawij, Lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences, College of Science, Al-Mustansiriyah University.

The workshop addressed the causes and harmful effects of dust storms, as well as the latest scientific methods for mitigating and managing their impact. The participants gained valuable insights into the ongoing challenges posed by dust storms in the region and explored innovative approaches for dealing with this environmental threat.
